<--- Me? Not exactly, but it does show some similar characteristics. This is a the last poll winner, but dressed and decorated for the season. This face has won the last 14 polls, so it's safe to say it's a keeper. If it wins again, I'll be using a Valentine's Day-themed look. :D
I've had quite a few online profile icons, also known as modern Avatars, over the years. I have chosen from cartoons, funny characters, made banners, and I even spotlighted specific merchandise items I have on sale. With the addition of the numerous interactive Cartoon picture creators, there is no limit to the creative possibilities to capture a fun representation of yourself.
I would also like to ask for you help keeping me out of my avatar rut since I tend to keep one for years... Won't you vote for your choice of which cartoon avatar you think I should use for my next face here on Squidoo and other online communities?
Enjoy and thanks for your assistance. You must create your own avatar using software on your computer or download one from one of the many avatar sites on the web. Keep the avatar small. The displayed avatar is 48x48 pixels and under 5k. A very large avatar may become distorted or blurry. I recommend keeping it square and under 100k. Yahoo no longer has a site to create one. It closed on 4/1/13.
Here is a site where you can create an avatarn order for your avatar to appear you must make your Yahoo! Profile visible if not already. Go to: http://profile.yahoo.com/y/settings/priv… and make sure the profile is not hidden. There is no reason to hide your profile. Nothing appears unless you enter it and turn a switch on.
Either go to your Yahoo! Answers settings and click on "Update photo or avatar" or go to your Yahoo! Profile at http://profile.yahoo.com and click on the current avatar. Upload one or choose an existing one. If updating at one link does not work then try the other.Theodor Seuss Geisel was born on March 2, 1904, in Springfield, Massachusetts. He published his first children's book, And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street, under the name of Dr. Seuss in 1937. Next came a string of best sellers, including The Cat in the Hat and Green Eggs and Ham. His rhymes and characters are beloved by generations.Theodor Seuss Geisel was born on March 2, 1904, in Springfield, Massachusetts, to Theodor Robert Geisel, a successful brewmaster, and Henrietta Seuss Geisel. At age 18, Geisel left home to attend Dartmouth College, where he became the editor in chief of its humor magazine, Jack-O-Lantern. When Geisel and his friends were caught drinking in his dorm room one night, in violation of Prohibition law, he was kicked off the magazine staff, but continued to contribute to it using the pseudonym "Seuss."
After graduating from Dartmouth, Geisel attended Oxford University in England, with plans to eventually become a professor. While at Oxford, he met his future wife, Helen Palmer, whom he married in 1927. That same year, he dropped out of Oxford, and the couple moved back to the United States.
